Meet Ben Krause
Ben grew up climbing trees in the mountains of North Carolina and never really stopped. What started as a childhood fascination with the forests of the Blue Ridge turned into a lifelong calling to care for them.
As an ISA Certified Arborist, Ben founded Krause Arborist to bring professional, certified, expert tree care to the High Country. Today the business is a fully equipped operation serving residential and commercial clients across the region.
Boone's historic trees, the towering hardwoods of Ashe County: these are the trees Ben knows best. That local knowledge, combined with ISA-certified expertise, is what sets Krause Arborist apart.

Noah Krause
Equipment Operator
Raised between Wilkes County and South Carolina, Noah brings a background in horticulture and a genuine love for plants to every job. When he's not on the job, you'll find him hosting game nights with friends or behind a drum kit.
Matt Mullis
Groundsman & Climber
Born and raised in Ashe County, Matt is a proud husband, father to a son, and has a daughter on the way. Off the clock he's out hunting and fishing in the mountains of western North Carolina.

What Does ISA Certified Mean?
ISA stands for the International Society of Arboriculture, the leading authority on professional tree care since 1924. ISA Certified Arborists have passed a rigorous exam covering tree biology, pruning standards, risk assessment, and safe work practices. They must also complete continuing education every three years to stay current.
